Created by Jasia Ka, executive produced by BRIC-TV, Girls Aren’t Funny is a drama comedy series that tells the stories of up-and-coming women comedians in the New York City stand up scene, inspired New York Foundation of the Arts, Made in NY Media Office Fund.by their real life experiences.
The pilot episode introduces Amamah as she tries to balance her blossoming comedy career in the city and her conservative Muslim Pakistani family’s expectations back at home on Long Island.
