Bumble set up virtual dates between people across the country during the first month of the covid outbreak. We explored the question: How can you meet new people during lockdown? I collaborated with the Buzzfeed team to create a 1.5 hour-long show chronicling 12 virtual blind Bumble dates. The production from pre- to post- took only a few weeks on this quick-paced project.
In October 2020, I directed ‘Good Things Happen In Philadelphia’, a digital show presented by Philly non-profit Better Civics and Benj Pasek. The video raised over $70K for non-profits working to increase voter turn-out in the Philadelphia area . I directed talent remotely and led creative for the run of show, design and edit. The team pulled the all phases of production off in less than a week. The show featured Philly-born celebrities, locals and notable figures such as John Legend, Allen Iverson, Ben Franklin (The Impersonator), Questlove, Abbi Jacobson, Lil Dicky, and Amanda Seyfried.
I collaborated with People’s Television to script and edit video content for civil rights group Black Lives Matter in September/October 2020.
I collaborated on the creative with Hardy Stewart Design and the Buzzfeed team for the Adobe x ‘Make the Feed’ remote video campaign. The campaign featured ten Gen Z creatives from all over the world exploring the Adobe Creative Suite and receiving mentorship from leading professionals. The project included over 100 video deliverables.
I had another wonderful opportunity to work with singer-songwriter Madison McFerrin to create a music video for her quarantine-inspired song ‘I Just Wanna Hug My Momma’ (we previously worked together on ‘Insane’). The video was released on Mother’s Day in 2020 when so many people were separated from their mothers and unable to do the simplest thing- give them a hug. We gather footage from her fans to create a tribute to motherhood.
I lead post-production and motion graphics on this project for Dany Garcia’s production company. The online show featured Dany Garcia, actress Dascha Polanco and more speaking about identity and racism in the LatinX community.
I collaborated with the Buzzfeed team again to create a talent show featuring 6 acts who all had to perform their talent remotely in their homes during the lockdown. We shot the show via Zoom and edited it as filming went on during a fast turnover 1 week period.
